This is Buddah — a sweet, affectionate French Bulldog who has brought so much joy and comfort into our lives.

Buddah originally belonged to my sister, but due to personal circumstances, she could no longer care for him. We welcomed Buddah into our home with open arms, and he instantly became a beloved member of our family.

Unfortunately, after receiving a routine vaccine, Buddah began having seizures. What started as an occasional episode has now progressed into multiple seizures a day. It’s devastating and terrifying to witness.

We’re working closely with our vet, and Buddah has just started a new, stronger medication in hopes of controlling the seizures. However, if this treatment doesn’t help stabilize him, he may need an MRI to examine his brain and determine the underlying cause — an expense that can cost thousands.

To make things more difficult, Buddah’s pet insurance was canceled by my sister before these health issues began. Because his condition is now classified as pre-existing, no insurance company will cover his ongoing treatment.

We are currently paying out-of-pocket for:

• Buddah’s daily seizure medication

• Emergency “rescue” medication for severe seizures

• Ongoing neurology visits

• Adjustments to prescriptions and dosages

• A possible MRI
