Hey, everyone. My friends have found themselves in a difficult position and really need some help. While they are more fortunate than some, they live paycheck to paycheck. Their dog, Buda, really needs surgery and they are unable to fundraise themselves, so I’m hoping we can help them out. Buda has a benign sebaceous adenoma on his foot and he's had multiple infections since he also suffers from severe allergies and anxiety, so he's always licking his paws. The growth is large enough that it is now impacting both his gait and his stance. They’re doing everything they can at home to get him to leave it alone (donut, Epsom salts, breathable socks), but the growth continues to get larger and has to be removed. With their permission, I can provide proof of the estimates for the surgery, but it will cost between $1400-$2000 and they don't have that much credit available (nor any means to pay it off, even if they did).
They have had Buda since he was about 1 and he’s been the husband's best little buddy, always following him around, helping him fix stuff around the house as well as a constant companion to the wife who is disabled and unable to work. He's now 9 and a very important family member. He’s an extremely good boi and they’d do basically anything to keep him happy and healthy.
If any funds are raised beyond the requested amount, it will go toward paying off the over $1000 that they owe for recent, previous vet visits that relate directly to this growth.(Proof of this debt can also be provided.)
Thank you for reading all of this. If you’re unable to donate, please share far and wide as that helps, too.
