Help Bud Save His Home After Loss
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Bud. I've put a posting up here before and I want to thank everyone who donated a big warm-hearted thank you for helping.
Currently, I am facing hardship because of my current situation. My wife passed last year in August and since then I have been struggling to meet my monthly bills. I've had two surgeries within a year, one on my knee and the other on my rotator cuff. The rotator cuff surgery was the most recent (8 weeks ago). I don't receive my wife's SSI as the state wants money back for paying for her doctor's appointments, treatments, and surgery from having cancer. She had stage 4 cancer when this all started. During treatment, her cancer went into remission. She was fine until I came home from work and found her having a seizure on the couch. I don't know how long she was in this state. When she was admitted to the hospital, they found that cancer had moved to her brain. She had three tumors. She was admitted to a rehabilitation center to learn how to walk again, caused by the seizure. During her six-year battle with cancer, I took her to every doctor's appointment, treatment, and surgery. I spent every day with my wife after work and on the weekends. I would stay with her every evening till she would fall asleep. I would change her clothing, change her bedding, help her in the bathroom, cook homemade meals for her, and sometimes feed her. She would receive a Wendy's Frosty every day I went to see her. Those were her favorite.
In June of last year, it was discussed to have brain surgery to remove the tumors. She chose to have the surgery done in July. At first, it seemed to help, but shortly after, she was being readmitted to the hospital every weekend as other issues would arise from the surgery. Sadly, my wife passed in August of last year due to complications from the surgery. I miss my wife dearly.
Because of my current condition, I cannot work to full capacity and I can only work so many hours and make under a set amount, per my application for SSDI. The job I have now meets those requirements, but I am coming up short for my monthly bills.
I don't wish to lose our home that we've had for 38 years. So many cherished memories. I'm asking for donations to help me keep my home. Once I get released for full duty (rotator cuff), I plan on going back to work full-time or if I get approved for SSDI. Right now, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.
If you can find it in your heart to donate to my cause, I would be greatly appreciated and thank you for your donations. Thank you for taking the time to read this. ❤️
