UPDATE: It was confirmed that Bud did unfortunately get diagnosed with cancer. The growth on his leg ate away at the bone but luckily the leg was removed before it broke. The scans came back clear, not showing any signs of cancer throughout the rest of his body. We hope to raise enough money to cover medical expenses and a prosthetic leg.
Bud has been a cherished member of our family since 2012, when my dad, Danny, brought him home from a friend's place. From the very beginning, Bud and my dad have shared a special bond—Danny is truly Bud's best friend. Over the years, Bud has been more than just a pet; he's been a constant companion and a source of joy for me and my siblings Zander, Izzy, and Jasmine. Bud's playful nature and his unique way of demanding attention by shaking and howling until petted have endeared him to everyone who meets him.
Despite facing challenges early in life, including a fractured spine, pelvis, and perforated lung after being hit by a car as a puppy, Bud has always been resilient. Now, at nearly 14 years old, Bud faces another hurdle with a large growth on his right front wrist that requires amputation. The surgery is crucial to ensure his comfort and health, and while the initial costs are significant, additional funds are needed for post-surgery care, including medication, a cone, and possibly a prosthetic. We are currently waiting on test to see if cancer has spread throughout the rest of his body. We ask that you please pray that is not the case.
Bud's presence has been a constant through all stages of my life, from elementary school to college, and his unwavering spirit continues to inspire us. We are hopeful that with your support, Bud can overcome this challenge and continue to be the loving, attention-seeking dog we've all grown to adore.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read and share this. 100% of the raised funds will go towards Bud's medical bills and quality of life necessities.
