Recently, our world turned upside down. Buchu, our 3 year old mini poodle, was suddenly diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), a painful and debilitating spinal condition. He was left paralyzed within hours and completely lost the use of his back legs. We rushed him into emergency surgery to give him a chance at walking again.

The surgery saved his life, but it came with a huge bill — over $17,000. On top of that, he needs months of rehabilitation.

Our family has poured everything we have into giving Buchu the best chance at recovery, but this amount is beyond what we can manage on our own.

Even though it’s been tough, Buchu is already showing signs of hope. He’s made some small movements in his legs and tail 3 weeks post-op. With rehab, he has a real chance to walk, play, and live a normal, happy life again.
