Dear Friends and Animal Lovers,

Bubz is not just our English bulldog, but he's also our best friend. A few months ago, we started to notice an odd limp sometimes, but we didn't think much of it. We assumed he just slept awkwardly and had a sleepy leg. However, as time went on, the limping continued and worsened, and we knew something was wrong.

Bubz began having difficulty getting up by himself, and he would not put any pressure on his hind right leg, even when standing. We were worried sick about our furry baby, so we took him to the vet. The first vet we saw told us that Bubz was just excited to see new people, and the vet said there was nothing wrong with him. However, we knew that something was not right, and we sought a second opinion.

After seeing another vet, we were told the same thing. But we were persistent and asked for x-rays, which thankfully revealed that Bubz had hip dysplasia and a torn CCL. He needed surgery to repair the torn ligament and prevent arthritis from developing in his joints.

Bubz is a member of our family, and we love him dearly. We want nothing more than for him to be able to run and play like he used to, without being in pain. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery and post-operative care is beyond what we can afford on our own.
