It's no surprise that one of the most difficult hurdles to get past when starting your own business is raising the funds to actually start building an inventory as well as renting out a physical space for the store.
We're Bub's Bookstore, and we're trying to raise funds that will provide us the ability to lease a commercial space in downtown Carson City, purchase books and other merchandise for our inventory, as well as turn the blank canvas of the rental space into our dream bookstore that we have envisioned!
Currently, we have our business licenses (State and City), our website, our business email, membership for the American Booksellers Association all bought square away. But these costs are relatively low compared to the financial needs to come.
If you have the means, we would greatly appreciate any donation that would go towards opening up our bookstore here in Carson City!
We want to figure out a way to acknowledge your contribution -- so we'll think on how we can thank you for your donation and let you know what we come up with! Maybe it's a hat with our logo, or some kind of mention built into our physical space once we are able to rent, but it will be something!
We want to completely transparent with where your donations goes, so we'll keep a running total of what we've spent and how much of it came from donations.
We'll also attempt to document/record the progress we've made so you can keep up-to-date with where we are!
