Bubby has been by my side for all 16 years of his life. He’s the last of his litter, and over the years, he’s become such an important part of my family. Recently, Bubby had to be rushed to the emergency vet, where we received the heartbreaking news that he has cancer in his bladder. The emergency clinic and follow-up diagnostics at the animal hospital have already resulted in significant medical bills, and I still need to consult with the oncologist about the next steps for his treatment.

The funds raised here will go directly toward helping to pay the initial emergency vet and diagnostic costs as well as Bubby’s chemotherapy, which will help slow the cancer’s progression and hopefully shrink the tumor. This treatment is his best chance at maintaining a good quality of life and spending more precious time with me and my family.

For transparency, the initial goal of $1,600 will be used to pay for the initial hospital stay and diagnostics. once we get to that goal, the next step will be to reach $3,500 which will pay for the oncologist consult and the first rounds of treatment. From there, the final goal will change depending on how many rounds of chemotherapy he will need, and if other treatment options become available.

Bubby means the world to me. He’s been my companion through so much, and I can’t bear to see him go just yet. I want to do everything I can to give him a fighting chance, because I know he still has so much life left to live with me.
