Hi, I'm Paula. I'm doing this fundraiser on behalf of my partner, Bubbles (as she's unable to do so from her home country), so she can get out of her country and move to Spain.

She's a trans woman living in Lima, the capital of Peru, earning about 300 dollars a month while currently also studying in university. She does not feel safe in her current situation, due to a combined factor of her unstable economic situation, increasing political hostility to queer and trans people, general threats of violence and lack of safety in the streets (again magnified due to being a queer trans woman), and being forced to live in a toxic household.

She's been attempting to move out as soon as she's been able to earn money for herself, and even before that, she's saved every cent she's been given to be able to achieve her dream of living somewhere she can feel safe.

With those 300 dollars she earns a month, she has to pay for her studies and daily expenses, leaving very little money to save up. On top of that, whenever an emergency arises, that saved up money is usually the one that gets spend, going back down to zero.

After years of being in this cycle, she's finally decided to ask for help and start this fundraiser to cover moving costs. If you have the ability and desire to help, donating even just a little bit would come a long way.

As a quick breakdown of relevant moving costs, we estimate legal expenses to be about 150€, travel expenses (including plane and bus tickets plus baggage fees) would make up to about 1230€, six months worth of rent would be around 3600€, six months worth of daily expenses (including food and utilities) would be around 2400€, and finally we would like a safety margin of 1000€ in case of an emergency.
