Help Bubbles Get a Bigger Home!

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out for help to give my beloved turtle, Bubbles, a new home! I’ve had Bubbles for about 12 years, and he’s grown a lot over the years – especially in the last year. His current tank is getting too small for him, and I want to make sure he has plenty of space to swim and live comfortably.

Unfortunately, as a student, most of my income from my Werkstudentenjob goes towards rent, study fees and other living expenses. That’s why I’m asking for a bit of support to help Bubbles get the bigger aquarium he needs and deserves.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly towards upgrading Bubbles’ tank, making it more spacious and suited to his growing needs. This includes the tank itself, along with essential modifications like a dry, warm resting area, a reliable filter, a heating rod, and tools to ensure proper oxygen levels for his well-being.

To provide transparency about the costs involved in this project, I have created a detailed breakdown of the expenses required to set up the aquarium.

2. Aquarium safety mat = €10

3. Suitable water filter for the aquarium = €65

4. Heater = €35

5. Air pump and air stones for oxygenation = €45

6. Cork sheet for the aquarium floor = €20

7. Aquarium sand = €15

8. Decorations (plastic plants, roots, and stones) to create hiding spots = approx. €100

9. DIY land area (aquarium mesh, cable ties, acrylic sheets, reptile carpet) = approx. €85

10. Fish tank lighting = €50

Sum: approx. €690 (€425 without the aquarium)
