On May 5th, 2025, our beloved Bubba started acting strangely, experiencing sickness throughout the day, which escalated to projectile vomiting by evening. The morning of May 6th, we found him in distress and rushed him to the vet. After an inconclusive initial X-ray, he was given an anti-nausea shot and sent home. However, within a few hours, he became extremely lethargic, prompting another urgent trip to the vet where he was placed on IV fluids and monitored overnight.
On May 7th, we received the devastating news that a second X-ray confirmed a foreign object lodged in Bubba's stomach/intestines. Our precious 8 month old kitten needs emergency exploratory surgery to remove it. This surgery comes with a significant cost, which is a heavy burden as I prepare for nursing school in the fall.
Bubba means the world to Gavin and I. The thought of losing him is unbearable. Bubba truly is a special cat. He was found living under the porch with his feral siblings, he quickly gained our trust. Within a day of finding him, we took him home to call him ours. We are reaching out for support to help cover the expenses of his life saving surgery. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to us and give Bubba a chance to return to his happy, healthy self. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity.
