Help Bubba Fight Malignant Melanoma

Donation protected
Hello! My name is Danielle, but some of you may be more familiar with my copilot in this chaotic life... Bubba was diagnosed with malignant melanoma on Friday, December 20th, 2024, after the doctors found several masses on his paws and paw pads He is currently on high-dose steroids and antibiotics in hopes of relieving some of the inflammation prior to surgery. He has surgery scheduled for January 2nd. Best case scenario is that they go in, remove all the masses and their surrounding margins, and that they don't find anything that would indicate that the cancer has spread and/or metastasized!

Unfortunately, I lost my job on December 6th, and we are currently in the midst of scheduling and securing everything for a big move from Virginia to North Carolina; a new job and to be closer to my best friend and niece. Nonrefundable payments had already been secured prior to Bubba's diagnosis. Everything is confirmed and ready for us to move on January 18th. This would mean moving away from his animal hospital where he'll be getting surgery two weeks before the move. The doctor has instructed me to have an animal hospital in NC that's taking new patients set up ahead of time as he will require further evaluation and follow-up pending what the surgeon finds on January 2nd.

Backstory:
I rescued Bubba on March 26th, 2019, from Verona Animal Society in Rochester, NY. They said he was 8-10 months old at adoption. We celebrate his birthdays on June 18th every year This past June, Bubba turned 6 years old!
I was in the middle of nursing school and had just lost my dad 5 months prior. I had no business claiming responsibility for another living being. It wasn't easy, but each day was better than the last. I knew that we needed each other, and that pup has hands down saved my LIFE.

Who rescued who?

It didn't take long before getting him certified as an Emotional Support Animal. Soon after, I began travel nursing and he was able to be there every step of the way. So far, we have taken on NY, MO, WV, VA, and in a few short weeks, we will be able to add NC to the list.

I wholeheartedly understand that this time of year is difficult on everyone If you're unable to donate, please send so many prayers that this dude pulls through Wishing everyone a Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and to a New Year!!
