Help Clarence “Bub” Rhinecker Rebuild After Fire Loss
Donation protected
A grandparents home, holds the best memories until those walls that hold up the home crumble. On January 15th, around 2 pm, Clarence “Bub” Rhinecker’s home went up in flames. A fire that started in the carport adjacent to the house and quickly spread to the residence, Bub was inside asleep. Not knowing what was happening until he was rescued by his daughter. We give God praise for sparing his life. He was truly watching over him.
At a very young age and the only boy of the family, he helped his father run a dairy farm. After the death of his mother and the loss of the family farm, Bub began working in factories and tree work to provide for his family. Here at the age of 80, Bub still works for Mitchell County Recycling. Also, at the age of 80, he is forced to rebuild his life. Never asking for a handout, together he and my Granny (Linda Garland Rhinecker) worked hard to build their home and the love that came with it. Many kids in the Beans Creek/Buladean area, called it their second home. Better known as “Pap” to his 11 grandchildren and his 4 great grandchildren, Pap has treated every child in the surrounding area as his own for over 45 years now. Lots of memories remain in the pile of ashes. As of now, he stands and looks at the remnants of what was his pride and joy with only the memories and his family to help him cope.
With the loss of his home, he also has lost both of his vehicles. The clothes on his back is all he has. Bub still does not want to ask anyone for help, but we as his family know in his health condition and at his age, he cannot rebuild alone. We ask that if you cannot give, please, please keep him in your prayers. “I’ve worked since a boy, worked hard since a boy. I didn’t have much, but it was mine and now, I have nothing” - Clarence “Bub” Rhinecker. Please keep our grandfather in your prayers.
