She’s out of the hospital, but not out of the woods. Time to rally the village. and shake the trees.

Instead of celebrating her recent birthday, our beloved Brittny has just returned home after more than a week in the hospital (what a present!) battling a life threatening case of double pneumonia.

If you know Brittny, you know she’s a force: a free-spirited, gifted artist, an exceptional framer and the creative powerhouse behind arkhive.- her custom framing shop that has supported and elevated countless artists, musicians and friends in our community and beyond. She’s a beauty maker, booty shaker, kitty caretaker and mama to many. ✨

This past year has been a tough one for Brit. Her health challenges have been mounting and living with Lupus already leaves her immune system vulnerable. This Summer has been a doozy ~ She’s suffered mold exposure, a severe COVID case that took her out of work the entire month of August, and now this hospitalization, all of which have kept her from doing what she loves most: creating and working- sustaining a living through arkhive.. Being unable to physically work has meant putting her small business on hold, leaving her without an income at the very moment all of her recovery costs are stacking up. Between studio/work expenses, her home mortgage, medical costs, and essentials such as power and water, she has found herself unable to keep up. Without being able to work and earn an income, it’s to the point that her utilities have been intermittently cut off and foreclosure on the home she loves is looming.

Brittny has always shown up for others with generosity, talent, and spirit. Now it’s our turn to show up for her.

Your support will help cover medical bills, recovery expenses, and give her the *breathing room she needs to regain her strength and get back to her art, framing, clients and her shop. Every contribution, no matter the size, is a real investment in Brittny’s recovery and in the creative community she sustains.
