Help Bryson fix his top surgery

Bryson needs a top surgery revision.

Bryson needs a top surgery revision because there's still loose skin hanging over from his first top surgery. This causes him a heap of discomfort. The (new) surgeon he went to see thinks Bryson's a great candidate for a revision.

His friends think so too, so we've set up this fundraiser to help him out (the boy is too modest to do it himself.)

Bryson has done a bunch of community advocacy, and a bunch for the queer community and the trans masc community in particular.

Here's just a few of the ways he's spent countless hours helping our community.

He's a board member with Hunter Gender Alliance, and organised a trans experiences in healthcare panel, and appeared on another.

With ACON, volunteering, Bryson helped create, develop and run a workshop for queer trans men and masc folks. For free.

He's also run workshops for BGT and queer men.

He volunteered at Fair Day for ACON’s Young Gay Men Project, marched , ppeared in ACON’s Ending HIV Campaign, appeared in TransHub’s videos, and more ACON projects.

He helps run Newcastle's trans men and trans masc group, and has mentored many young trans folks with advice, support and affirmation.

He's also appeared on many panels aimed at educating medical students, and given a talk to NewStep Uni students about gender diversity.

He's appeared on SBS Insight, and written many articles about the trans experience.

He's spoken on the radio about gender diversity - five freaking times!

Bryson has done all of this without asking for, or receiving, a cent from the agencies and the community that he puts his whole soul into helping. He does what he does without expectations of thanks - because he sees the need that other trans men, trans masc folks and trans kids have, and can't bear to *not* help them.

(if he'd been charging, he could probably afford his own revision, ha ha.)

Image caption: three images in a grid. The first on the left shows Bryson in a dark singlet and red shorts, holding a smiling black and white spotty puppy (Zoe). The second image (top right) shows Bryson cuddling a fluffy black and white dog wrapped in a pink towel. The third image (bottom right) shows Bryson's cat Meggy, a small stripey cat, on a wooden floor.
