Bryson is an incredibly talented cellist whose music has touched so many people. Anyone who sees him play is blown away by his innate talent and his uncanny ability to play by ear. Music has been a part of his life since the sixth grade, and it brings him great joy and comfort. Whether he’s playing solo, with friends, or with me, his music is always beautiful and heartfelt. It’s not just a hobby for him—it’s something deeply therapeutic and important, and something he is uniquely able to excel at.
Despite his passion, Bryson has faced a lot of challenges with his instrument. He’s been playing on a cello that he’s had to glue back together himself, and he’s been using bows that he tried to repair on his own. This past week, while playing with his brother Chase, the last bow he had completely fell apart. He was really sad, not knowing when he’d be able to afford a new one. Cello bows can vary in cost, with professional quality bows averaging around $200-300, to premium quality bows in the thousands. While there are cheap bows online, something as important as this can’t just be bought without trying it out in person. He’s so talented and brightens the lives of everyone around him - he deserves an instrument that allows his talent to really shine. And someone with his gifts should never not be able to play their instrument, imo.
This fundraiser is extra special because it’s for Bryson’s 26th birthday. I would love to help Bryson get a gift card to Beacocks Music so he can pick out a bow that’s right for him. Thank you in advance to everyone who is able to help in any way possible. Every dollar counts, and it will all go towards a gift card for Bryson’s birthday. Knowing that his friends and family came together to support him would mean the world to him.
