Bryce Anderson is a 23-year-old aspiring tour guide who recently began building his career in Costa Rica. As a friend and someone who has seen his dedication firsthand, I am heartbroken to share that while we were visiting a wildlife rehabilitation center, our car was robbed. Bryce’s backpack was stolen, and with it, nearly everything he needs for his work and daily life. Inside were his camera, lenses, memory cards, hard drive, medication, and other essential equipment. These items are not just tools—they are the foundation of his career and his passion for guiding others through the wonders of Costa Rica’s wildlife.
Bryce’s camera is vital for capturing the experiences of those he guides and for advertising his services. Without his camera, lenses, and memory cards, he cannot document his tours or share his work with potential clients. The loss of his hard drive means countless precious memories and professional work are gone forever. Additionally, as a guide who specializes in reptiles, his flashlights are absolutely necessary for spotting wildlife at night. Without them, he is unable to work. This theft has completely derailed his progress at a crucial point in his career, forcing him to return to the US and live with his parents while he figures out his next steps.
Despite this devastating setback, I believe that with our support, Bryce can get back on his feet and return to the work he loves. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help him replace his equipment and rebuild his life as a guide. I urge everyone who can to donate and help Bryce pursue the dream he is so passionate about. Let’s come together to give him hope and a chance to continue inspiring others through his love of wildlife and guiding.
