My name is Bryce, and I’m a recovering alcoholic who’s always tried to go the extra mile for others, even when I didn’t have much myself. Recently, I left sober living after escaping a toxic relationship, hoping for a fresh start. Unfortunately, the person I trusted forged my signature, canceled our lease, took my security deposit, and disappeared. Now, I’m left sleeping in my car while I wait for a court hearing to try to recover what was taken from me.
This has been one of the hardest times of my life. I’ve never had to live in my vehicle before, and it’s stressful and humbling to ask for help. I’m not the type to reach out for support, but a friend encouraged me to try GoFundMe. I’m hoping to raise enough to get a hotel room for now and cover the deposit and first month’s rent for an apartment I’ve already found. Having a safe place to stay will help me get back on my feet and return to work when my seasonal job starts this summer.
I’m just trying to make sure I have a roof over my head and a chance to rebuild. Any support or sharing of my story would mean the world to me as I work to move forward. Thank you for reading and for any help you can give.
