Help Bryce get a new mower
My grandson is 14 years old and has been mowing lawns for the last 2 years because HE wants too. He is a hard worker and when his friends are playing Xbox, or watching tv, he is outside mowing lawns making money. Not only does he do this to make money, but a lot of times he will mow the elderly and the disabled for free just to help them out from time to time. August 30th, he finished up mowing a yard in Topeka, strapped his mower to the trailer and headed home, at 9:30PM. His mower came unstrapped and fell off the trailer when the trailer blew out a tire. After getting the trailer tire replaced, he went to go back and look for the mower but it was gone. Him and his family looked for 2 plus hours trying to find it, in the ditches, on the side of the road, calling TPD, etc. with no luck. He did end up finding the mower a couple of days later way down in a ditch and smashed into a tree. It is not repairable.
I have decided to set up a fundraiser to see if we can get enough donations for him to get himself a new mower and new tie downs. He is just a very hard worker, he bought his mower, trimmers, trailer, and tie downs with his own money that he has earned mowing. As you can imagine, when you spend all your hard earned money on something only for an accident to happen and then the mower getting destroyed, it is very hard to handle, especially at 14 years old. He currently holds 22 yards on a bi-weekly schedule and on top of that, mows for charity at times. He is very kind, humble, and does not ever ask for anything, he has always tried to earn it himself. He has a great family that loves and supports him and helps him out whenever they can.
If you are able, please consider donating to help him buy a new mower. He is not asking for a brand new mower, just a mower to replace the one that was ruined so that he can continue to serve our communities. I assume that if we can raise enough money, a brand new one would be great for him and he will be able to focus more on his work and be able to complete the yards quicker and have time to be a kid (if he wants too).
