My name is Bryant, and I’m a 50-year-old living on disability. After battling severe Rheumatoid Arthritis since 2013, I made the big decision to relocate from Long Island, NY to Selma, North Carolina, hoping for a fresh start. The move itself was a challenge, but I was determined to make it work. I hired a moving and storage company called Zippy Shell to help with the transition, and since September, I’ve been paying for storage while trying to get settled in my new community.

Living on a fixed income due to my disability, every dollar counts. I’ve already paid a significant amount to keep my belongings safe, but now I’m facing a transportation fee to have my things delivered to my new home. My bed and many sentimental items are in that storage unit, and I can’t afford to lose them. I just moved into my place in Selma on January 5th, 2026, and having my belongings with me would mean the world as I start this new chapter.
