Hi im Jess! I’m creating this for my dad, Bryan king. My dad has always been a tough guy, but lately, his health problems have made it nearly impossible to keep up with the added expenses. Over the years, he’s endured a triple bypass, four back surgeries, and has battled pancreatitis and diabetes. Recently, a possible seizure caused a car accident that left him with an exploded T12 vertebra, resulting in paralysis in his feet. Since then, he’s been in and out of the hospital, facing seizure-like episodes and a rare diagnosis of auto-brewery syndrome. This condition means he must follow a strict high-protein diet, as any carbs turn into yeast in his stomach, causing alcohol-induced symptoms. The learning hospital has been researching his rare case, and he’s had to be extremely careful with everything he eats. The hospital has performed multiple tests to try to understand his rare symptoms.

On top of that, he’s dealing with an infection in his bowel, which has sent him back to the ER. He’s struggling to keep antibiotics down, leading to dangerously low levels of white blood cells, platelets, vitamins, calcium, and minerals. My dad is now on permanent disability and can’t work anymore due to his paralyzed feet. Social security disability barely covers the bills, and there’s no way to make extra money. The costs of gas for hospital visits to Oklahoma City (an hour and a half drive each way), special diet needs, and added medical expenses are overwhelming.

I’m reaching out to the community for any form of help and support, whether that’s helping financially or just prayers for health and healing.
