I, Jessica Kallio, am creating this GoFundMe for my good friend Bryan Sellers. Bryan is a senior and a retired Army veteran who has always been there for others, but now he needs our help. After his stroke last year, it's been hard for him to do repairs and keep up on some things on his own. His trailer’s skirting and insulation are completely destroyed, leaving him exposed to the harsh cold. It’s gotten so bad that Bryan can see his breath inside his own home, and his pipes keep freezing, making daily life incredibly difficult and unsafe. On top of that, his water heater is leaking and on its way out, adding to the urgency and stress of his situation. We will raise funds for the water heater in the future, but my main concern is getting Bryan warm!
Recently, SOLVE Alaska stepped in to help Bryan by thawing his pipes, but unfortunately, their assistance has a yearly cap, and Bryan has already reached it. The repairs done this week were only temporary, and his pipes froze again soon after. Bryan has already paid $595.00 out of pocket to put towards the frozen pipes, but he is running low on funds to go any further. The most urgent need right now is to replace the skirting and insulation under his trailer to keep the warmth in and prevent further freezing. There is a contractor ready to do the work today, but payment is needed upfront for the supplies and labor.
Bryan has always been a caring friend and a dedicated member of our community. Now, it’s our turn to support him. Every donation, no matter the size, will help Bryan stay warm and safe this winter. Thank you so much for anything you can spare to help Bryan through this tough time. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us. God bless!
