My name is Bryan, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest times of my life. I’ve been denied food stamps, healthcare, and social security, and while I’m in the appeal process, I’m struggling to keep things together for myself and my son. We have to find a new place to live by March, and the uncertainty is overwhelming. On top of that, I’m battling heart failure, stage four kidney disease, and cirrhosis of the liver. There’s a chance I’ll need a kidney transplant, and every day is a fight to stay hopeful and strong for my family.

Despite everything, I’m doing my best to keep going. I’m about to become a grandfather for the first time, and I want nothing more than to be here for my grandchild—healthy, present, and not weighed down by depression or fear. The challenges feel impossible some days, but I’m still fighting, and I know that with a little help, I can keep moving forward for my son and my future grandchild.
