Help Bryan Shaffer Heal and Recover

Bryan Shaffer is an amazing friend who is always the first person to offer a helping hand to a friend in need.
Now it’s our turn to help him.
On September 25th, Bryan was at home when suddenly got a massive headache. Simultaneously, his left hand stopped working, the left side of his face went numb and he began to slur his words. He immediately went to the ER, where he learned that he had suffered a stroke. The stroke was caused by a brain bleed, which was caused by high blood pressure that was caused by his sleep apnea. The diagnosis of the acute medical emergency led to a 4 day hospital stay. Not only is this a horrible experience for anyone, but it also occurred with terrible timing for Bryan as he was supposed to start a new job on October 1st.
Doctors insist that he stays home to recover for at least another month. Bryan’s only focus should be on his recovery, which will include a sleep study to help treat the issue that started this all in the first place. It will also include physical therapy to regain fine motor skills in his left hand, which is imperative since Bryan works with his hands. Therefore, he will not be able to return to work even after a month if he does not regain capabilities in his left hand. Of course, he now has the worry of any medical bills that might not be covered as well as the general cost of living, which we all know is a challenge even for those in the best of health right now.
While Bryan remains optimistic and chooses to look on the bright side, it’s our chance make it easier for him by coming together to help him through this difficult time as he has done for so many of us throughout our lives.
Thank you all! You have no idea how much your support means.
