Help Bryan Kristofer Gridley and Family in Time of Need

Hello, friends, family, and compassionate strangers—

Our names are Brian & Joyce Gridley, and we are reaching out on behalf of our son, Bryan Kristofer Gridley, who is currently in the ICU in critical condition at Sentara hospital Elizabeth City. Bryan was admitted with MSOF (Multi System Organ Failure) to include his lungs, liver and heart and is fighting for his life. He has been sedated, on a ventilator, with main pic lines in his neck/groin and wrist for 18 days as of this message. He continues to take baby steps forward as well as backwards day by day; sometimes hour by hour.

We have not left his side since he was admitted on May 13th, and he is being cared for by an amazing team of doctors and nurses. We are grateful for every moment and every prayer. But the road ahead is uncertain, and our family needs your help.

Bryan is the brother to two brothers and three sisters. His oldest sister passed away this April 21st from cancer. He is father of six beautiful children and grandfather to one amazing grandson.

Bryan has struggled with alcohol addiction for many years, which has sadly taken away years of bonding and memories with his children. Despite this, there has always been a deep love between him and his kids. The picture shared here is of Bryan with his firstborn, Jazlynn—a powerful reminder that even in darkness, love remains. Jazlynn has always loved her dad, and he has always loved her, even while battling his demons.

We are asking for your support to help cover:

• Medical expenses not covered by insurance

• Traveling costs and lost wages for family staying at the hospital

• Help for his two minor children during this time of uncertainty

• Any eventual rehabilitation or long-term care needs
