This is Bryan Holland. He is 48 years old. A devoted husband to Carrie and loving father to his two beautiful daughters Avery and Lucy. He’s worked his entire 25+ year career as an educator dedicated to developing tomorrow’s leaders and giving back to the community at large. Throughout his career he has helped countless youth navigate challenges and ultimately find their path. He is a man of strong conviction and faith and is an active member of United Church in Delaware. He is a giver – constantly stepping up to serve others at home, at church, at school, and in the community. Bryan defines servant leadership.

Now Bryan and his family urgently need your help. Over the past 18 months Bryan has been quietly battling a rare, aggressive form of cancer called Leiomyosarcoma. He has endured multiple surgeries followed by extended hospital stays as he’s fought to beat this hideous disease. Recently, Bryan and family received devastating news that the disease has spread to multiple organs including his brain. This resulted in a significant brain bleed that has paralyzed the left side of his body. Bryan’s oncology team is saying that there are no further treatment options and is recommending that he go home with hospice care. With his left side paralysis, he requires significant at home nursing care which is not covered by insurance. The family is facing tens of thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket expenses to get Bryan the at home care he needs so that he can be where he belongs, with Carrie and the girls.

Bryan is a fighter and is determined to continue his battle against cancer.
