Bryan has lived a life filled with challenges most of us can’t imagine. Kicked out of his home at just 17 years old, he has spent decades in group homes — places where he has too often faced neglect and abuse instead of care. He’s been in and out of the hospital, denied therapy, and left without the basic support he needs to live with dignity.

Today, Bryan is facing one of the hardest situations of all: he doesn’t even have a safe, working bed.

The bed he currently has is too small for his body. It’s broken and no longer functions the way it should.

Sleeping in it causes him, and he cannot lie on his side — the only position that would give him relief.

When he does use it, he can’t get out until there are enough staff available to transfer him — sometimes leaving him stuck for hours.

Because of this, Bryan has been relying on his power chair to sleep in since April 2025 — the only way he feels some control over his body and schedule. But no one should have to choose between being stuck in bed or sleeping upright in a chair.

After repeated insurance denials, Bryan desperately needs help. Here’s exactly what will change his life:

$1,500 for a properly sized medical bed that works

$800 for a Hoyer lift so he can get in and out of bed safely, without waiting hours for staff

$500 for clothes, since he hasn’t had proper clothing in years
