Help Bryan Harned Fight Pancreatic Cancer

We are a group of Bryan’s friends who refer to him and Gabriele as the “Family” we choose. Everyone who loves Bryan knows how much he loves life! He draws people in with his positive outlook, kindness, loving heart, and great sense of humor, and he makes a friend wherever he goes, especially the dock. He can spend hours fishing and not catch a thing and still have the time of his life. It’s no surprise that people seek him out to entertain and cook for them—and his crab cakes are requested by many!   Bryan has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and starts chemo on Thursday, June 29. The hope is that the chemo will stop the spread of the cancer into the blood stream and other organs. He is fighting for more time and needs our help.   After several months of feeling unwell, Bryan went to the surgeon who did the colostomy reversal from his colon cancer in 2013, assuming it might be another hernia related to that. Unfortunately, the doctor felt this was something new. After several tests, Bryan was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, a particularly nasty and aggressive disease. On top of the stress of dealing with his diagnosis, the pain has made him unable to work.   As you can imagine, Bryan and his family are overwhelmed emotionally and financially, and we would like to do whatever we can to help them through the challenges ahead.
