Help Bryan Escudero Honor His Mother's Memory
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Bryan Escudero. I am a senior psych student at a university here in Chicago. I have agreed to ask for help as I am going through a very difficult situation. On Sunday morning, October 6, 2024 at 9:30 am, my mom, Carina Salazar suddenly passed away right before my very eyes in our home. I called the paramedics to help bring her back, but there was nothing they could do.
I have lived happily with my mom for the past 21 years and it has only been the two of us. Now I have to learn how to live without her. I say happily because despite not having much, we had each other and most importantly, I had her love. My mom sacrificed so much of herself and worked so hard to provide for me and to make sure that I always had what I needed. She made sure to keep a roof over our heads, food on the table, and everything I needed to make it in life. Now I have to learn how to survive and do this on my own without her.
As an undocumented single mom, she faced a lot of challenges but always found a way to provide for both of us. Her dream was that I finish college and insisted that my focus be on my studies before anything else. I don't have any other family members to lean on and I don't have a way to put her to rest like she deserves which is why I started this fundraiser. I want to lay her to rest and have funds to live off of to help until I walk across the stage in May 2025.
I want to respect her wishes and will finish my last two semesters of college like I promised her. I will dedicate my degree to her and will make her proud. But I need help. My mom was so strong and never asked for help. I wanted to be strong too and did not want to ask for help but I can not do this alone. I'm asking for your help please- whatever you can do to assist me, I will be so grateful. But if you can not help me through this fundraiser, please say a prayer for my mom and for me. Thank you and God bless you.
