Help Bryan Bledsoe save his toes.

Donation protected
My name is Chris, and my friend Bryan needs help to pay medical bills and to get his health back to where it needs to be.  Bryan has been a pillar in the gaming industry for 40+ years, and has helped many people along the way, whether it was by teaching them how to paint miniatures or learning to play a new game. He has a heart of gold and every year likes to donate to charities benefiting children and animals. Unfortunately, though, now he's the one who needs the help.

For almost four years now, Bryan Bledsoe has been fighting the unfortunate side effects of type 2 diabetes.

In November of 2017 he developed wounds on both big toes which no longer allowed him to work his daily job. He was put on medical disability until his feet could heal, which finally happened 2 years later. His feet were better just long enough for the doctors to release him to go back to work, at which time the company he worked for decided to close the plant and gave him a severance package which has all gone to pay past medical bills and living expenses.

Bryan hasn't only had problems with his feet. In the short amount of time that his feet were better, he attempted to exercise in order to try to get his weight down, but due to having to stay off his feet for such a long period of time the previous three years, his muscles were used to being in a sitting position for most of the hours of each day. When he tried to exercise, merely going for a walk with his daughter, his muscles in his back decided to rebel and he developed extreme muscle spasms that made it difficult to walk, stand, or even sleep. The only thing Bryan could do to help alleviate the pain was to sit in the chair that he had sat in for the previous three years throughout his foot injuries. Bryan tried physical therapy for multiple weeks which had no effect on the muscle spasms, and finally ended up having to have nerve ablation done in his lower back. The back pain is now under control, but Bryan continues to have issues with his toes, and at this point has had seven surgeries on them, and still can't get out of the house to get a job that offers insurance.

My goal with this campaign is to help give Bryan a fighting chance at a healthier future. He needs help paying some past medical bills that have been adding up, as well as paying his monthly insurance premium that we need to keep active until we can get him to a healthier weight. In order to make the weight loss that is required a reality, he needs to have Bariatric surgery. I’m trying to help alleviate the mental stress that Bryan is going through, and help to prolong his life for many years to come.

I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to read this. I'd like to ask that you consider donating, but if you can't donate, then please share this on social media so we can help my friend get better.

Thanks,
Chris
