Bruno is our rescue dog, and he’s been a beloved part of our family for the past three years. He was found on the side of the road after he’d been hit by a car, and a friend passed him along to us so he wouldn’t have to spend his life in a shelter. Since then, Bruno has brought so much joy and comfort to our home, especially to my youngest son, Xavi, who relies on Bruno as his emotional support animal. Their bond is truly special, and Bruno’s gentle presence has helped Xavi through some tough times.
Recently, Bruno tore a ligament in his knee and now needs surgery to be able to walk again. We’ve already paid for his diagnosis, and his surgery is scheduled soon. We’re not sure yet how much his medicine and recovery will cost, but we know it will be expensive. As a low-income family receiving EBT and Medicaid, we simply don’t have the resources to cover these costs on our own. Bruno means the world to us, and we want to do everything we can to help him heal and get back to his happy, playful self.
Please help if you are able. Bruno is a member of our family, and we don’t have a choice about whether he can receive this surgery—he needs it, and he needs it now. Any amount would be deeply appreciated. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing our story and sending along the message. Your support means everything to us and to Bruno.
