Help Bruno recover from emergency surgery

Donation protected

Hi everyone,
My name is Cristina, and I’m reaching out for help for my sweet dog, Bruno.

Yesterday, Bruno had to undergo an unexpected emergency surgery to remove his spleen and a large tumor. What started as a normal day quickly turned into one of the scariest of my life. The vet discovered that his spleen had ruptured, and we had no choice but to rush him into surgery to save his life.

Bruno means the world to us— he’s not just a pet, he’s family. He’s been my loyal companion through so many ups and downs, and seeing him go through this has been heartbreaking. The surgery was successful, but the costs have been overwhelming, totaling around $13,500. On top of that, he still needs follow-up care, lab tests, and medications as we wait on results to find out more about the tumor.

we are doing everything we can to cover his medical expenses, but this unexpected emergency has put a real strain on us financially. Any donation — no matter how small — would help us tremendously and go directly toward Bruno’s vet bills and recovery care.

If you can’t donate, sharing this page would mean just as much. Thank you so much for taking the time to read Bruno’s story and for sending love and healing thoughts his way.

From the bottom of our hearts,
Cristina, Dale, Bruno & Oakley

Bruno Update ❤️

I wanted to share an update on Bruno — he’s stable right now, which is such a relief after everything he’s been through. The vet says his surgery went well, but they’re continuing to run blood tests because his body still needs to make more platelets.

For anyone who doesn’t know, platelets are tiny cells in the blood that help with clotting and healing. They’re what stop bleeding and allow the body to repair tissues after surgery or injury. Since Bruno had a major surgery and lost blood, his platelet count dropped, which is pretty common after a big procedure like this. The vets are keeping a close eye on it because once his platelet levels start to rise, his body will be able to heal stronger and more safely.

The good news is that as soon as his body starts doing what it needs to do and his platelet count improves, he’ll be able to come home.

He’s resting, eating small amounts, and being such a brave boy. We’re taking it day by day, and I’m so grateful for all the love, donations, and messages we’ve received so far. Your kindness truly means the world to us.

Thank you all for continuing to keep Bruno in your thoughts — please keep sending good energy for his recovery and for those platelets to rise soon! ✨
