We are reaching out with a heart-wrenching story about our 5-year-old son, Bruno, who is in a desperate fight against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). This rare, progressively debilitating genetic disorder is stealing the strength from his muscles every day. Without your help, Bruno's chance for a normal life slips further away.

In June 2023, a groundbreaking gene therapy was approved by the FDA, offering hope for young patients like Bruno. However, this life-saving treatment comes with an astronomical cost and a ticking clock - it must be administered before Bruno turns 6 on December 20, 2024. Time is not on our side.
Bruno is a joyful, bright kid whose smile lights up a room. Despite his struggles, he never loses his spirit. But DMD is a ruthless foe. Every moment without treatment, Bruno loses more of his ability to walk, play, and live a normal life. Our hope lies in getting him to the United States for this crucial therapy.
The cost for Bruno's treatment and associated expenses is a staggering $3.6 million. It's a number that's hard to comprehend, let alone raise. But we believe in the power of kindness and the global community. Every donation, no matter how small, brings Bruno closer to getting this life-altering therapy.
We, Joanna and Rafał, are paramedics, accustomed to saving lives. But now, we face the unimaginable task of trying to save our own son's life. The weight of this challenge is immense, but we're not giving up. Bruno is our world, and we'll do everything to give him the future he deserves.
