Bruno is our six-year-old family dog and Tatum’s constant companion and best friend. The two of them are inseparable. Wherever one goes, the other follows. They sleep near each other, move through the house together, and look for one another when they’re apart. Bruno has always been Tatum’s steady presence—and Tatum clearly knows it. Bruno is also deeply bonded to my husband, Alberto, but the relationship between the dogs is something special. That’s what makes this diagnosis so hard to accept.


Bruno still has good energy, still seeks out affection, and still wants to be with Tatum. From the outside, he looks like himself—which made the news that he has lymphoma a complete shock. With this type of cancer, timing matters. Starting treatment early gives Bruno the best chance at slowing the disease and preserving good-quality time. Because of that, we cancelled our travel plans to see our parents for Christmas so we could stay home and focus on Bruno’s care immediately. This has been a difficult moment for our family, especially since only one of us is working right now and we no longer have a tenant to help with expenses.


The funds raised will go directly toward Bruno’s cancer treatment, including veterinary oncology visits, chemotherapy, medications, and the related costs of care. Ongoing monitoring and follow-up are essential as treatment begins. Your support will also help cover transportation to and from veterinary appointments, which are happening frequently as we move forward.
