Hi everyone, This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. A few days ago, my dog who is not only my pet but my emotional support animal slipped out of my hands while on a leash and got loose. In a situation I wish I could take back, he bit someone and caused an injury. I’ve been carrying a deep sense of guilt and heartbreak since it happened. No one deserves to go through something like that, and I take full responsibility. My dog has been such an important part of my life, especially during some of my lowest moments. He’s been my comfort, my stability, and my support when I needed it most. That’s what makes this even more devastating I never imagined something like this could happen. He has never been off leash before, and while I believe he reacted out of instinct, I know that ultimately this is my responsibility. The person who was hurt should not have to carry this burden. Bruno is up to date on his shots and has never reacted before in aggression. I am disabled and have been doing my best to work within my limits, but this situation has created financial challenges I wasn’t prepared for. I’m now facing medical expenses for the person who was injured, along with potential legal fees and training costs to ensure this never happens again. I am doing everything I can to make this right and to make sure my dog is secure and safe moving forward. I’m asking for help because this has been overwhelming in every way emotionally, mentally, and financially. If you’re able to donate or even just share this, it would truly mean the world to me.
