An 18-year-old young woman has lived with congenital glaucoma since birth.
She was born with congenital glaucoma affecting both eyes, which has caused significant optic nerve damage over time.
To control the disease, she has undergone 11 surgical procedures in eyes, including the placement of two drainage tubes to help reduce intraocular pressure. Despite these efforts, her eye pressure remains dangerously high — currently measuring 35 mmHg in one eye and 27 mmHg in the other.
Additionally, she underwent a corneal transplant 10 months ago, but unfortunately the procedure has not been successful so far, and her vision continues to be at risk.
Her family is now seeking advanced evaluation and specialized glaucoma care, hoping that access to international specialists and newer treatment approaches may offer additional options.
Any support — whether donating or sharing — helps give her hope, dignity, and the possibility of preserving her vision and independence.
Thank you for standing with her and her family during this critical moment.
