We are a team of UCLA undergraduates who design, build, and race a single-seat, high-performance off-road vehicle each year in a national competition. More than 80 students take part annually in Bruin Racing Baja, gaining hands-on engineering and teamwork skills that go far beyond the classroom, no matter their prior experience or background.

Our members create the car entirely from the ground up. The process begins with detailed computer models, continues through machining and manufacturing, and ends with assembly and testing to produce our finished vehicle. True to our mission of making engineering accessible, we have never required applications or membership fees. This open-door policy allows any student to join and ensures that our graduates leave UCLA with exceptional real-world preparation for their careers.

To keep this promise, we depend on sponsors and donors to cover costs such as materials, machining, lodging, transportation, and competition expenses. The university provides less than 30 percent of our budget, and recent funding cuts have made outside support even more critical.

We hold the belief that engineering is within reach for everyone, and your participation in our campaign can empower our students to discover their own potential.
