Help Bruce Walk and Live a Pain Free Life Again

Hi, this is Bruce. This is my best friend, my heart and soul— and he has torn both of his cranial cruciate ligaments (the equivalent of an ACL in humans). What started as one injury quickly became two while I was still trying to raise the funds for the first surgery. Now, he can barely walk — and it’s absolutely breaking my heart. He is using his already injured leg to support his newly hurt one. 

I’ve loved this dog even before he officially became mine. From the very beginning, he’s been a source of unconditional love and light in my life. He’s been by my side through my lowest moments, never asking for anything except to be near me and to show me love and joy. His presence alone has saved me in more ways than I can count.

He used to be the first to greet you at the door — tail wagging, body wiggling, practically flying toward you just to say “hi.” He would jump and run with joy like nothing in the world could bring him down. Now he struggles just to stand, or walk or even trying to sit and lay down. He tries so hard to be the same happy, excited boy — dragging himself forward, tail still wagging, eyes still full of love — but the pain is getting harder to hide. And it kills me to watch him suffer like this. I have been giving him pain and inflammation meds to try to keep him as comfortable as possible as prescribed by his vets.

This is not the life he deserves. His quality of life is diminishing every day, and I’m doing everything I can, but I can’t do this alone anymore.

The cost for surgery on both knees is overwhelming, and I’ve exhausted what I have just to get try to get through the first one. For one it’s estimated max just over $4.800. The second injury happened before I could get the first fixed, and now he’s in even more pain…

I’m humbly asking for your help. Every donation, every share, every bit of kindness brings us one step closer to getting him the surgery he needs to walk, run, and live without pain again. To be the dog he truly is and allow him to express himself. To show people how full of life, full of love, and full of joy he is.

Please help me give my baby the chance to run again, to live as he should. To be able to walk. He’s given me everything, and now I just want to give him the life he deserves.
