Help Bruce & Nadine Jennings

Update 7/21- I wanted to keep everyone who has been so generous in the loop! There have been lots of different discussions and meetings over the past week with engineers, contractors and more trying to figure out the best course of action. They are going to build a bridge, and the cost of materials (steel beams, blocks, gravel, stone, lumber, etc) is going to be right about $19,000. That doesn't include labor, and they have a couple of possibilities for who is going to do the work. They do have to wait until the construction crews have completed the road work before they can begin on the new bridge, but everyone is pushing hard each day to get to the end game and Bruce is confident things will happen a lot faster than we think!

Update 7/14- Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated and shared! We really appreciate your generosity and support, especially at a time when so many others are hurting as well. As we get a clearer picture of all the expenses that will be associated with the repair work (like we have learned that new culverts alone would cost approximately $10,000) we are going to extend the fundraiser. None of the repair work can even start until 28N is repaired, so it will be a while before they will be back in action.

Hi, I am Elin Jennings and I am fundraising on behalf of my in-laws, Bruce and Nadine Jennings. They are valued members of the Long Lake Community and the Monday night flooding hit their property hard. It completely wiped out the culvert, bridge, and a good section of their driveway and there is now a massive ravine at the end of their driveway, cutting them off from the rest of town and their water supply. There will be a long road to recovery for them, and many expenses associated with the extensive repairs that are needed. Bruce and Nadine are so generous with their time and always willing to help their community, I am hoping we can step in and support them through this tough time.
