I devoted my life to giving people joy by teaching them how to ski and snowboard. I injured my knee, and in order to continue teaching, I need to have a specialized knee surgery that is only available in Europe.

 

I am passionate about teaching snow sports. I received advanced professional teaching certifications from the Professional Ski Instructors of America and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors. I create lifelong adventures for people that simply are fun! The resort where I work awarded me Instructor of the Year. This surgery will have a ripple effect, by allowing me to help future students.

 

Funding will pay for my arthroscopic knee surgery in late June, including medical transportation and the six months of physical therapy to recuperate afterwards. The knee surgery procedure uses platelet-rich plasma, bone marrow stem cells, fibrin sealant, and an ACTIfit meniscus scaffold that is available only in Europe. Insurance does not cover this specialized surgery. My ability to earn income has been severely impacted, and expenses are mounting.
