Bruce and Barb have been pillars of our community for over 20 years, always giving back through their church and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. As my downstairs neighbors this past year, I’ve seen firsthand their kindness and generosity—they truly have the biggest hearts. Now, they are facing unimaginable loss and need our support more than ever.

Last Saturday morning, Bruce went to open the closet door on their patio when it suddenly exploded, spraying hot liquid on his face and arms and leaving him with second-degree burns. Despite his efforts to put out the fire with a garden hose, there was little water pressure, and Bruce and Barb were forced to escape as they watched all of their worldly possessions go up in flames. The fire has left them with nothing but the clothes on their backs and the support of friends and neighbors.

The funds raised will help Bruce and Barb move into their next home and begin to replace their furniture and personal belongings.
