My name is Bruce Allen, and I am hoping for help to attend PTSD rehab and keep my apartment (and cat) through a very troubling time.

I have battled my way through PTSD episodes multiple times since leaving the Marines in the 1980s. Now, at 69 years old, I am not as good at fighting when it overtakes me. The dreams and depression are debilitating.

2024 was my worst year yet. I would drive for a rideshare to make enough to pay bills, but many days I would wake up and not have the energy to go out the door. I missed so many days when I just went back to bed. I lost thousands in earnings and fell far behind on rent and bills. Today I am facing eviction and nowhere to go.

The reason for an ask is I need to get to a rehab facility, deal with my challenges, and get back on track. I have talked to several doctors and the answer is always, “get to a rehab.”
