My dad has lived with chronic pain for years. Like many people dealing with long-term pain, he’s tried different treatments and medications over time, but the side effects of opioid pain medications often created new challenges on top of the pain itself.

Recently, he was prescribed a newer non-opioid pain medication, and for the first time in a long time, he finally feels like he has meaningful relief without the difficult side effects that came with opioids. It has genuinely improved his quality of life and given him hope that he can manage his pain in a safer and more sustainable way.

Unfortunately, because the medication is still new, it is not currently covered by his insurance. We are actively working with insurance to get approval, but the process is taking time, and the out-of-pocket cost for the full dose his doctor recommends is about $900 per month.

We’re creating this GoFundMe to help cover the cost of his medication during this gap so he can continue treatment without interruption while we fight for coverage.
