Help Browning High Students get to Washington DC!

My name is Colin Sibbernsen and I am a Social Studies Teacher at Browning High School on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. The Close Up program is back at BHS after a 8 year hiatus and we are very excited for our students and the opportunities provided them through this program. The Close Up Foundation is a nonprofit, civic education organization that aims to help young people understand, experience and take part in their government. Their mission is to inform, empower and inspire young people so they can exercise their right and accept the responsibilities of citizens in a democracy.

This is an amazing opportunity for Browning High School students to see one of the most exciting cities in the U.S. and bring their important perspectives to share with students from around the country. The students are extremely excited and currently working very hard to to fundraise for the trip. However, our goal is a lofty one and we are graciously seeking any additional donations anyone is willing to offer. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.

The students are: Jonni Spotted Eagle, Amanda Andersen-Marxer, Latesha Guerrera-Gobert, Raeshaun Many Hides-Rider, Tanner Iron Pipe, Tommy Running Rabbit, Delbert Blackman, Sno Momberg, Aaliyah Covers Up, Bella Kipling, Jorian Snow and Nerrayah Snow.

Thank you for your consideration!
