Our fur baby, affectionately known as “Brownie” (named by my niece), came into our lives one week before Christmas as a total surprise. The little gift we didn’t know we needed turned into the gift that kept on giving.
On July 28th, we noticed what started as a small limp accelerated into something bigger practically overnight. Due to his breed, Brownie is struggling with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), which has resulted in nerve damage and loss of mobility in his hind legs, so the best course of action is an invasive surgery at Southeast Veterinary Neurology, one of the few facilities in the region equipped to handle this procedure.
Brownie may be small in size, but his vibrant spirit leaves a lasting impression on everyone he meets, and his unwavering determination in the face of challenges such as IVDD makes him an irreplaceable piece of our family.
The unpredictable nature of IVDD has made managing financial responsibilities overwhelming. Any contribution towards our fur baby being able to undergo this much-needed procedure would be sincerely appreciated.
