Help Brown Girls Climbing FLY with a van!!

Donation protected
Emily Taylor has been a true force of nature...in opening up nature to people who do not often have access in US society. Her programs such as Brown Girls Climbing, focusing on BIPOC youth, and On the Spectrum for special needs youth have been an important anchor in the Oakland community.

In the past Coach Taylor led her programs from Touchstone Climbing's facility, which has proven to be inhospitable to people of color by breaking their agreement to house her programs, without any notice or accountability.  While open to repair of this relationship in the context of a deeper commitment to inclusion across their 15 facilities,  Coach Taylor is now focused on making her programs fully independent, and more centered on outdoor adventure. She needs our help to secure a passenger van, and equipment like harnesses and tents, to make this happen for all her programs.

Given Emily's status as one of the premiere national climbing coaches, and beyond that, intense commitment to using climbing and nature as a way to empower youth as organizers, leaders and dreamers, we are excited to support her dreams through this Go Fund Me--and hope you'll join us.
