Help Brooklyn Represent Canada in Gibraltar!

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nicole and my daughter Brooklyn has been selected to represent Canada at the IDO World Acro Dance Champions. The competition is being held in Gibraltar on July 1st and 2nd 2024.

Dance is not recognized as a sport in Canada and there for receives no provincial or federal funding, and as a result the cost of training, choreography fees, costume fees , travel and accommodations falls upon the artistic athlete and their families.

Brooklyn has competed on the world stage before. She competed at the IDO World Acro Dance Championships last summer in Monterrey Mexico. She competed in. formations (a group with 19 dancers), a small group ( a group with 9 dancers) and a solo. Both of her groups earned a gold and she earned a silver for her solo.

Although we do not know exactly which events Brooklyn will be participating in while in Gibraltar, we are hopeful that she will be able to defend her placements that she earned in Mexico.

Brooklyn took her first Acro class at the age of 6 and quickly fell in love. She has dedicated the herself to this style of dance ever since. She trains about20 hours a week with about half of those dedicated to improving her Acro skills.

Brooklyn thinks of competing on the world stage as the equivalent to competing at the Olympics. Please help Brooklyn achieve her dream once again of representing Canada on the world stage.

All funds raised will go directly towards her choreography and costume fees.
