I’m reaching out to ask for your support as we prepare to move to Texas. Brooklyn is preparing for open heart surgery, and after facing several complications at our current hospital that nearly cost her life, I’ve made the decision to have her surgery at Texas Children’s Hospital. Texas Children’s is ranked number one in pediatric cardiology and specializes in heart defects related to Down syndrome, which makes it the best possible place for Brooklyn to receive the care she needs.
When Brooklyn was born, I had to put my education on hold to provide her with the round-the-clock care she needed. Now, I’m determined to finish my dental degree so I can secure a good job and provide a brighter and more secure future for Brooklyn. My mom will be moving with us to Texas to help care for Brooklyn before/after surgery, while I’m in school full time as well as working. Which I’m incredibly grateful for (a portion of this is also going towards covering her travel to Texas as she’s coming from WA state to be with me).
I’ve been able to cover the majority of the moving expenses (i.e move in costs for our home) but I still need help with some costs, including initial necessities (food/toiletries) and travel expenses (which includes replacing my muffler). Since we will be driving to Texas, which adds additional costs. I am still short to cover these additional expenses, but I am still working in the meantime to save for these. Our move in date is scheduled for April 1st.
