Help Brooklyn Get Back on the Road

My name is Henry, and I want to tell the story of my girlfriend, Brooklyn, who just turned 19. All her life, Brooklyn has been facing overwhelming challenges. Her father left her mother before she was born, and her mom abandoned her long before she was 16. Neither slowed Brooklyn down from graduating high school at only 16 years old and further working ever since to make ends meet. Having no one else to turn to, Brooklyn moved in with her sister two years ago and has been paying rent to her ever since to help pay the household bills.

Recently, Brooklyn's only car was totaled in an accident that wasn't her fault, and the car insurance did not give her nearly enough to purchase a reliable vehicle. Her sister's fiancé sold her his old car, reassuring her it was in perfect condition. She trusted him and paid $4,800 for it, and in just a few months, it has already broken down four times. The latest quote to repair it ranges between $3,000 and $4,000-something that just isn't possible for her. She doesn't have the savings to fix it, nor is it an option to ask her sister's fiancé for a refund because of the dynamics with that side of the family.

Brooklyn has been one of the strongest people, despite fighting every day with health problems that were genetically passed on to her. She recently got a new job and has been doing absolutely everything in her power to stay above water, but this has pushed her to the point of hopelessness. Being a college student myself, I do absolutely everything I can to help her; it's just not enough.

At this point, it seems like starting a GoFundMe is the only way we will be able to get Brooklyn the help she needs. Anything would help, no matter how small. We are asking for your kindness in hopes of raising enough to either repair or replace the car and possibly give Brooklyn an opportunity to move on.
