Brooklyn Fire Alarm Dispatcher 180 - the senior man in Brooklyn - has come to face with an extremely challenging time of his life, and with the help of friends, family, co workers and anyone else willing to help - we hope to ease, however so slightly, the burden in which he now faces.
Darryl Danforth is a hidden hero. Some might not know him by face, but his voice has been heard all over the nation. Darryl has served New York City proudly with over 25 years of total service - more than 20 as a FDNY Fire Alarm Dispatcher. Aside from his work - Darryl is a loving father, an amazing friend, and a shoulder to lean on in any time of need.
Recently Darryl has faced medical complications, putting him out of work on medical leave. Although in good spirit, it has added a generous amount of stress to himself and his family. Today though, Darryl is faced with an additional disaster, which on its own would have many not knowing where to turn.
Early this morning Darryl’s house caught fire. Aside from monetary struggles, the amount of absolute turmoil he is now facing is astronomical. He has lost everything. Furniture and belongings can be replaced, but his personal and well cherished memories can not.
So now with just another obstacle to overcome we, on Darryl’s behalf, ask for any help you can provide to assist in the recovery process of a man who deserves nothing less.
